Welcome to the family-friendly and animal loving Hotel Garni Poltehof, where you can experience nature up close. Our organic holiday farm lies at the heart of the village of Fiss. Fiss, with its narrow alleyways and old rustic Tyrolean architecture, is a peaceful, traditional village that lies midway between the sunny plateau towns of Serfaus and Ladis.

High above the valley – at 1436 m above sea level – the sun, crystal-clear mountain air, and snow fields stretching as far as the eye can see all combine to create a glistening winter paradise. In the summertime, nature has many adventures and wonderful experiences to offer, which are guaranteed to make you see everyday life with fresh eyes.

You can admire and enjoy the alpine countryside of the sunny plateau, which stretches out without objection before you in all its glory. For that reason, our leitmotif is: Unique, just like nature! You can look forward to a unique holiday with us in a relaxed and cosy atmosphere.

Our farm is set up to cater for families, and fuses the existing construction of our farm with comfortable, bright interiors, adapted to meet modern demands.

For breakfast, we will serve you with fresh dairy produce, bacon, etc. from our organic farm.

Your children can have fun in the stables (all year round) milking the cows, mucking out, jumping in the hay, and feeding the horses and calves – whilst learning something new at the same time!

Fiss is connected to Tyrol’s “ski dimension” Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis by two lifts – the "Schönjochbahn" and the "Möseralmbahn". You can also use the “Sonnenbahn” lift and three small beginner practice lifts.

The region is a member of the Tyrolean Cross-Country Skiing specialists and has been awarded the Loipen-Gütesiegel (seal of quality) for its trails. Consequently, we offer cross-country skiers optimum conditions and a wide variety of trails. No fewer than seven cross-country trails with guaranteed snow lead through the countryside between Fiss and Ladis. Special lift tickets are available for cross-country skiers, enabling you to reach the high-altitude tracks cheaply and conveniently, while the “Nordic Points” offer changing rooms and showers for day visitors.

Children will love wintertime in Fiss, for Fiss devotes itself entirely to its young guests. In “Berta’s Kinderland”, children from 3 months and above (“Murmli Club”) are well looked after and have heaps of fun in the kindergarten for guests, doing skiing lessons, playing in the Red Indian village or igloo village, on excursions to the Fiss cave world, and much more.

No winter village is complete without a toboggan run. There is fun to be had by the whole family on the toboggan run that takes you over the Steinegg and the Kuhalm to Fiss. Of course, this would not be complete without a snowball fight and a few frolics in the snow.

Those who spend the summer on the farm instinctively become attuned to living with nature. Your children can run free on the farm and have time to discover many things that they can often only imagine at school.

You too can sample the pleasures of nature from the very first day. Our homemade organic farm produce will give you the energy you need to explore Fiss and the surrounding area. Starting from our south-facing village, there are many opportunities for you to explore the Samnaun mountain range.
